Welcome
Nintai Martial Arts is based in Bedlington, Northumberland. Our dojo focuses on the training of Shotokan karate, but incorporates elements of other martial arts as part of the training process.
Our dojo is founded on the principle that karate should be accessible to everyone, and it should be adaptable to the needs of the student.
We believe that no martial art is superior to another, as they all contribute to the development of the individual, and they should all be respected. Our training foundation is Shotokan karate, which is then combined with elements of other martial arts. Our lead instructor’s own experiences include Shotokan and Wado-Ryu karate, with the occasional addition of aikido and ju jitsu. We share our training space with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA.
We can all learn from each other.
Our Classes
Nintai Dragons
The Nintai Dragons class is for our younger members, and is suitable for ages 8 - 13.
Nintai Kitsune
Nintai Kitsune is a karate class customised for people with complex special/additional needs. Our syllabus is completely adapted to our students' individual strengths.
Nintai Adults
The Adults class is for ages 13+.
As students progress, this class places greater emphasis on more advanced practical applications.
